Kiss: Peter Criss CD
"Peter Criss" is Criss' first album since "One for All" from 2007 and, in contrast to this jazzy, ballad-rich work, marks his return to straightforward rock 'n' roll. Motley Crüe guitarist John 5, David Lee Red/Mr. Big bassist Billy Sheehan and keyboardist Paul Shaffer can be heard as guest musicians on the album.
Peter Criss is a founding member and the original drummer of the rock'n'roll supergroup KISS (1974 to 1980, 1996 to 2003). In addition to playing drums, Peter also took the lead vocals on a number of KISS' most famous songs, including the top 10 hits on the Billboard charts: "Beth", "Black Diamond" and "Hard Luck Woman". Peter Criss' catman persona is an instantly recognizable pop culture icon. After numerous world tours, platinum albums and KISS merchandise, he left the band in 1980.

He then embarked on a solo career, which led to the release of "Out of Control", "Let Me Rock You" and most recently "One for All", which reached number 35 in the indie charts. By popular demand, the original line-up of KISS reunited in 1995 for MTV's "KISS Unplugged", which resulted in the hugely successful "Worldwide Alive Reunion Tour" of 1996.
This was followed by three more KISS tours with Peter Criss ("Psycho Circus", the farewell tour and a joint headlining tour with Aerosmith). With guest appearances by John 5 (Mötley Crüe, Rob Zombie), Billy Sheehan (David Lee Roth), Paul Shaffer (David Letterman) and Mike McLaughlin, "Peter Criss" marks the Catman's return to his old strength and is his most rocking solo album ever.
