Over the last ten years, Portugal. The Man has established itself as one of the most valuable bands in rock music and a live phenomenon. The band has played over 1,600 shows and earned a storied reputation as festival favorites. Originally from Alaska, the Portland band reached new heights in 2017 with the release of their now RIAA platinum album 'Woodstock'. The album was marked by the astounding success of their infectious single "Feel It Still," which earned the group a plethora of new accolades - including a GRAMMY for "Best Pop Duo/Group Performance," 7x RIAA platinum honors, a record-breaking 20-week stay at #1 on alternative radio, and an inevitable presence on Top 40 radio airwaves.

Beyond the glitter of their myriad musical accomplishments is the group's longstanding passion for social justice. In fact, this is precisely the intersection where Portugal. The Man flourishes; throughout their career, the band has consistently exemplified a commitment to both art and activism. This ultimately inspired them to officially launch the Pass The Mic Foundation in 2020. The focus is on universal issues related to human rights, public health and the environment. The emphasis is on causes that directly affect indigenous peoples, including Alaska Native Health (providing the highest quality health services to Alaska Natives) and Seeding Sovereignty (radicalizing and disrupting colonized territories by working for land, body and food sovereignty and more).
